Happy New Year: 2017

I know new years is a couple days from now but I just wanted to post this. As 2016 comes to an end, I realized I received so many blessings. I also had many trials and tribulations but I would say my blessings outweighed my trials and tribulations. I don't really make new year's resolutions but I do pray to God to help me be a better man and Christian each and every day. There is a lot of evil in the world and I don't want any of that evil to consume me. I don't like to be in a negative individual, I just like to be a positive human being. This year I was in situations that really made me mad and I always wanted to stay positive, my mindset was always like, what's the point of being negative. Even though the other individual I'm arguing with is being negative, I feel it's no reason for me to be negative back. I always step back and I pray so He can handle the situations(s) and He does on his timing. I always Pray when something overwhelms me and God will handle everything. In the year 2017, we must be more positive, not negative. I don't want any of us to be consumed with evil. That evilness will turn us into ugly and unpleasant individuals. Step back and analyze the situation(s) and Don't Be Negative.

Don't let others/things to dictate on how to live your life

I'm currently involved in a situation and the situation is I messaged a girl on Facebook and the message was very personal and I told her to not share it with anybody except me and her. She shared it with people on campus. I should've known this but I'll know next time. I'm not mad at all, I've made peace with myself with the whole situation. Now people are talking around campus but the main lesson I got out of this situation is to no let my insecurities hinder my happiness. Even though people talk about me on a negative aspect but I know God is greater than any hate that you face. I also know that He will never will leave me or forsake me. I can't let things or people upset me to the point that I lose my own set of morals, values and most importantly, Sanity .

Respecting & Includement

I saw a TV series called Speechless on ABC and this episode was very good, especially for people who have disabilities and even the people who don't have disabilities don't like a certain word. The word is retarded. I don't like this word because somebody in high school called me that. When people say that word I always cringe up or I say don't say that. My family had a discussion about this and I just say don't say it at all. Another event that happened during this episode was when all the kids went to prom. There was one girl who was taller than the other kids at their school and JJ who's in the wheelchair started dancing with her. JJ realized she wanted to feel included so he included her. In high school, I felt excluded ( maybe partly that was my fault) but the point is that he included her because she felt excluded. Make somebody feel included, not just today but everyday.
