Don't Look Down On Them

Whether or not you agree to this logic, you have to respect people who don't have ordinary jobs. An ordinary job in my opinion would be an administrative assistant for a business. I would imagine some  people would think being a stripper or a prostitute isn't an ordinary job. Whatever you believe, strippers and prostitutes are employed by stripping and prostituting and We need to respect them because they are human beings. People might not agree with people's professions but at the end of they day, people are going to do what they want to do. I don't know if stripping and prostituting were the strippers and prostitutes first choice and if it was, who cares, as long as they are enjoying it. People have to enjoy what they do or they will be miserable for the rest of their lives. . I would think these professions can be risky at times or all of the time. You don't know if guys or girls are going to be too aggressive or too controlling. Lately, I've been watching La

Educate The Ones That Don't Know

Last night, I watched The Accountant ( good movie by the way)  starring Anna Kendrick and Ben Affleck and the character played by Ben Affleck had Asperger Syndrome. The saying that struck a cord with me from the movie was when the father told both of his sons"different makes people scared". This is so true but what I've learned over the years is to educate the masses on what makes me different, Everybody is different in regardless of wearing different clothes and having different personalities but I'm talking about people who have disabilities. I was lacking self confidence when I was a kid so I was embarrassed to tell people why I shake my head. But as I began getting older, I became  more confident in myself because my parents allowed me to be in extracurricular activities so I could be myself and that opened up my social skills. Also, God helped and is still helping me til this day. Now since I learned about myself and my disability and made a movie, I'm comfor

Cherish every Opportunity

Yesterday I went to a funeral like I told you guys and what I realized when I was in the pews was that I was so glad that I had the opportunity to share the same church space with the former deacon of my church for a handful of years. I also realized that  You have to cherish every opportunity with people on this earth because We don't know when the next time we are going to see that person. I was cherishing the former deacon's memory in that aspect but I'm going to also talk about c herishing every opportunity in different ways too. Right now, I don't have a job and it is difficult but I know things will turn around for me. But anyways, since I don't have a job right now, I had to move back home. My stepfather gave me some tasks to do and one task I had to do was to clean out the garage. Of course I didn't want to do it but I did it anyways. Even though I didn't want to do that certain task, I cherished it because God gave me the strength to clean the garag

Respect The Dead

Earlier this year, a dear priest's  mom passed away and my former roommates and I knew him. I was the only one who went to the funeral and I was really shocked about hearing my former roommates not coming. I felt that was disrespectful. I don't like going to funerals but that is Respecting the man or woman who died. I know stuff comes up but if you are physically able to go, You should go.  A deacon of my church passed away last week and the funeral is tomorrow. I don't have to go but it's the Respect factor in the matter, this is why I'm going. As I'm typing this post, I'm remembering that certain religions don't go to funerals because of their religious beliefs and that is their religious beliefs and I'm not arguing with that. If you are able to go, attend the funerals. You might've disliked the individual who past away but go anyways because of Respect, general Respect. Respect the dead and Respect the people who are still living.

Be Happy For People

Later last week I had a little altercation with somebody on Twitter and I thought it wasn't fair on their part by bashing this celebrity because she didn't think she deserved what she was recognized for. I committed a fault because I should've responded not in the way I did. What I should've said on Twitter which I'm going to say on this post is to be happy for people's success, don't be jealous. You can have the same success as other celebrities, you just have to apply yourself and you will reach your goal(s). Embrace positive vibes and spread that around to your family and surrounding neighbors.

Smoking Weed

In college, I have smoked a weed for a few times. It was a good time with some friends but after a while I realized the cool kids all smoked weed. I could be cool without smoking weed. I don't have anything against with people who smoke weed, I'm just saying that's not me anymore. If I continued to smoke weed I would become a follower instead of a leader. J ust continue to be You and cool is whatever you make it. Don't follow what other people are doing, be a leader and start your definition of cool.

It's hard but not Imposible

When I was at the Joubert Syndrome conference this past year, one of the talks I attended, the speaker said it's sixty eight percent of people who have disabilities who are unemployed. Sixty eight percent is a high percentage but that percentage shouldn't scare me or other people who have disabilities. I don't have a job/career right now but I'm not throwing in the towel because I know something is going to come up and plus God always has a master plan. One of the scriptures from the Bible I like is " Faith Without Works Is Dead." This means that you have to have faith and put in the work in order for opportunities to arise for you. If you have one and not the other, opportunities aren't going to happen for you. So you have to have faith and put in the work at the same time. Don't be discouraged whether you are  looking for a job/career or you want to accomplish a goal(s), just have faith and put in the work at the same time and every opportunity will
