Being Free from Societal or Communal Norms

Today on this Memorial Day I saw Disobedience starring  Rachel McAdams and Rachel Weisz. This is a beautiful masterpiece. For those who haven't seen this film I highly recommend You go see it ASAP!! What I got out of this beautiful masterpiece is that nobody can hold you captive. In other words, nobody can control You in your community or in Your own house. Of course when You are little, your mother or father says take a bath, You take a bath because your parents told you take a bath. But when you get older, you can make Your  own decisions because You have the mindset to do so. In a community setting, I can imagine it can be hard for somebody to go against the grain because it may be religious restrictions or social standards that You have to abide by. I haven't been in a situation of any communal restrictions or any social standards to abide by but I know that people have to express themselves in their natural light. If You have to go against the grain in order to express Yourself in Your natural light, go for it!! Don't be conformed into a box of simplicity and boredom.

I'm currently involved in a situation and the situation is I messaged a girl on Facebook and the message was very personal and I told her to not share it with anybody except me and her. She shared it with people on campus. I should've known this but I'll know next time. I'm not mad at all, I've made peace with myself with the whole situation. Now people are talking around campus but the main lesson I got out of this situation is to no let my insecurities hinder my happiness. Respecting & Includement

I saw a TV series called Speechless on ABC and this episode was very good, especially for people who have disabilities and even the people who don't have disabilities don't like a certain word. The word is retarded. I don't like this word because somebody in high school called me that. When people say that word I always cringe up or I say don't say that. My family had a discussion about this and I just say don't say it at all. Another event that happened during this episode was when all the kids went to prom. There was one girl who was taller than the other kids at their school and JJ who's in the wheelchair started dancing with her. JJ realized she wanted to feel included so he included her. In high school, I felt excluded ( maybe partly that was my fault) but the point is that he included her because she felt excluded. Make somebody feel included, not just today but everyday. Life

Life is what you make it. I get down and out because of some situations in life but I know God has me and I will be victorious in all things. I also love inspiration. I love people who inspire me and I love to inspire other people. When this inspiration happens, it's a non stop cycle of inspiring and I love it so much. My former college I went to, Mercyhurst University slogan is carpe diem which means seize the day. Seizing the day is so essential if we want to fulfill an accomplish or meet a goal. Connecting and networking with people is also so essential in life because these networks will hopefully develop into long lasting friendships and partnerships. Last night I watched this film entitled Demolition and it was a very good film. The main character, Jake Gyllenhaal found a boy that eventually became his best friend. Life is very precious, take it day by day and you never know who you are going to meet along your journey.
