I just saw this movie over Christmas break and it just touched my heart in many more ways than one. I don't want to spoil the movie for you guys but the boy in the movie, Dev Patel wanted to search for somebody very special in his life and he was so determined to find that certain individual he didn't sleep or eat for days. He almost gave up but he didn't.  He kept pushing himself until he found the pot of gold ( his true love). Another message I got from the movie is to search for what makes you live life to the fullest. Dev Patel was searching for his true love which made him whole, just embracing that certain individual with a hug. Search for God, search for that true love, search for your passion, search for your soul. Just search deeply within something/somebody and find that pot of gold.

Don't let others/things to dictate on how to live your life

I'm currently involved in a situation and the situation is I messaged a girl on Facebook and the message was very personal and I told her to not share it with anybody except me and her. She shared it with people on campus. I should've known this but I'll know next time. I'm not mad at all, I've made peace with myself with the whole situation. Now people are talking around campus but the main lesson I got out of this situation is to no let my insecurities hinder my happiness. Even though people talk about me on a negative aspect but I know God is greater than any hate that you face. I also know that He will never will leave me or forsake me. I can't let things or people upset me to the point that I lose my own set of morals, values and most importantly, Sanity .

Respecting & Includement

I saw a TV series called Speechless on ABC and this episode was very good, especially for people who have disabilities and even the people who don't have disabilities don't like a certain word. The word is retarded. I don't like this word because somebody in high school called me that. When people say that word I always cringe up or I say don't say that. My family had a discussion about this and I just say don't say it at all. Another event that happened during this episode was when all the kids went to prom. There was one girl who was taller than the other kids at their school and JJ who's in the wheelchair started dancing with her. JJ realized she wanted to feel included so he included her. In high school, I felt excluded ( maybe partly that was my fault) but the point is that he included her because she felt excluded. Make somebody feel included, not just today but everyday.
