One day at a time
I'm an advocate of mental health and I believe I said that in my earlier posts. I have a therapist and I'm very grateful for her because a lot of times she makes me think, oh, I haven't thought about it that way or that's an interesting point after I explain what went on that particular week for me. Other times, like this past week she just listens and doesn't say anything. Listening is crucial too because in my opinion, the receiver of the messages or that said communication is willing to sit quietly and absorb the individual's feelings. I feel anxious sometimes, the first time I felt anxious was when I was working at the Ritz Carlton and had to leave within nine months (lol) after a management issue. While I was looking for another job, my grandfather died during that time. I knew I had to get some help. I felt overwhelmed, sad and angry.
