Let's have beef stew together, not regular beef

 For the last few weeks, there has been a quarrel between sports commentator, Stephen A. Smith and NBA superstar, Lebron James. Since it's the year 2025 and how the world is evolving, social media has taken the forefront in this quarrel. There has been a lot in a few weeks or has it been months, I don't know! There is one incident that didn't sit right with me. The incident was when Stephen A was attending a Lakers game and Lebron confronted Stephen A about talking about his son, Bronny which by the way, he's a teammate of Lebron on the Los Angeles Lakers. After the video surfaced, Stephen A posted a video on Instagram of him boxing as a form of exercise, but I guess it was alluding to Lebron about in that video, it seemed like Stephen A wanted to fight Lebron. Thank God this fight didn't happen and hopefully it's not going to happen in the distant future and as two BLACK men in the spotlight, it's bad for business and most of the white counterparts think the African American population is uncivilized anyways and they have more ammunition now to go after the Black community even more. Both of them might lose money from this quarrel but I'm pretty sure if they lost money, that money will be pennies to them. 

I'm going to be honest with you guys, Stephen A is very passionate about what he covers on his shows and I think it comes off as hot headedness sometimes. Lebron James is passionate about the NBA and what he stands for. They both excel in their individual fields. Stephen A knows the game of basketball and any sport that he covers, and I don't think he meant any malicious intent in regards to Bronny and Lebron James. Stephen A was doing his job because he is a commentator after all and Lebron is a little butt hurt. It's not like Stephen A called Bronny out of his name in a public street corner, he was talking about his performance in the studio of First Take. Let's be professional guys!!

I saw this movie called Greater ( a true story)   a couple weeks ago starring Neil McDonough and Christopher Severio. This movie is about a kid who wants to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks and didn't accept no for an answer when people told him he wasn't going to make the team. He eventually played for them and made it into the NFL playing for the Indianapolis Colts. He died in a non related football accident though. I could relate to the main character because I was picked on and I really stayed to myself . I didn't interact much. But he overcame those fears of being scared and took a leap of faith. He wanted to make it on the Razorbacks team that much he Never Gave Up on pursuing his dream and that dream led him into the NFL. His mother in the movie played by Leslie Easterbrook instilled in him the faith element  and then he Believed anything is possible. This past Saturday, I went to a local bar called the Winchester on the west side of Cleveland. My boss is in a band and the band was playing that night. I like to support people even if that art form is new to me . Me seeing the band was exciting, also it was another big happening that night. I asked if the bartender if she had a boyfriend and unfortunately, she said yes. If she said no, I would have been jumping for joy and after jumping for joy, I would 've then asked her if she wanted to go out on a date and then we skip down the yellow brick road oh so lovely. I was hella sad and what even made me more sad was when she turned on some sad country music. I told myself let me get my ass out of here (LOL). I had a lot of drinks that night because I was celebrating my boss's band performing live for the first time since the stone ages (lol), but for a very long time. Appreciate the little so you can appreciate the BIG

 During the span of the election, I was canvassing. If people don't know what canvassing is , it's just knocking on people's doors and for this particular canvassing it was for the past election. But in the midst of the canvassing, I got four dollars more on my paycheck than the previous paycheck and I was grateful. Other people might say it's just four dollars, but my employer didn't have to do that. That gesture was little but I was very grateful for that increase, how big or small it was. I would say I was always a grateful Indvidual but now since I'm older and gained a bit more wiser, I would say that I cherish the things that make me whole that aren't always monetary.     Also, I got a bonus of twenty five dollars after the job was over.
